My husband and I just returned for a 3 night stay in Sleep in the City.
Sleep in the City Condominium, Antwerp
The apartments are very well located: a few steps away from the fashion museum, Dries van Noten flagship store and the shopping centre. We choose the duplex apartment. The interior design was absolutely perfect; beautiful decorated with a lot of taste. The bathroom was spotless, the beds extremely comfortable. We even had a lovely small roofterrace. We were warmly welcomed by Bert, the owner, who give us very good tips for visiting the neighboorhood and since his passion is cooking he recommended us some very nice retaurants.
We really loved our stay here and will certainly return in the near future.

I also see that another reviewer referred to these apartments and feel that while my review is not directly related to the Boulevard Leopold, my experience with the owner is relevant and just as important. My email contact with Bert regarding the apartment was sketchy at best. I requested dates and an extra bed for my son. I have 2 children 8 and 11 - my younger son shares a bed with us on weekend trips and my older son gets an extra bed.
Bert had the dates available and answered some of my questions, but not all. Even after I confirmed, he asked for no information except a mobile number, gave no information about payment and whether he could accommodate an extra bed and did nothing to confirm my reservation.
I had to email him again to ask him these questions. His web site listed a price, but never a person maximum or additional price for extra bed. When we met him at the apartment after a 4 hour drive , we didn't get so much as a "Hello". He saw my younger son and immediately began giving us trouble because we were four persons.
He stood there at the door with us on the street and reprimanded me saying that I was dishonest because I never said that I had 2 children.

Even after I explained that my son shares a bed with us, which is why I had no need to tell him, he scolded me, telling me that I had to be honest, taking no responsibility for his own lack of communication and wrong assumptions. After I told him that my kids were used to traveling and were well-behaved, he eventually let us in. He accepted cash only and charged more than the web site listed price. The apartment was okay, but definitely not as nice as appeared in the pictures. It was dusty, a bit musty, and needed some maintenance. I assume Bert is an antique collector and while some items in the apartment were interesting, others ex.
It was loud at night and hot sleeping, although the bed was comfortable. We soon discovered that there was no hot water in the bathroom sink. We called Bert to report the problem. He said that it was turned off because it leaks. When I said that that was unacceptable at euros per night , especially when he spoke of honesty because he never informed us , his response was "what are you going to pick on every little thing? He eventually came over and showed us how to "rig" the sink faucet to get it to work, which wasted about an hour.
