Thermae Palace is located right next to Ostend's sandy beaches and features a sauna, fitness facilities and rooms with free WiFi and cable TV. Very close to the sea. The bed was very comfortable.

This cosmopolitan seaside resort has long sandy beaches, a modern harbour and magnificent fish restaurants. Housed in a former department store built by Gaston Eysselinck, Ostend's Museum of Modern Art has an interesting collection of contemporary Belgian works. The Oostende Railway Station is a gorgeous building between the Marina and the Vissers Kaai, featuring classical style architecture. Leaving the railway station you will find a stunning fishing market with numerous fish stands selling mussels, crabs and herrings. Wander around the promenade and visit one of the traditional restaurants to enjoy Dover Sole, shrimp croquettes and tomatoes filled with shrimps.

A great place to visit also a good base to venture a bit far Brugge only 20min on train and Ghent 40min A very friendly place with likable people, lots of bars to visit and lots of types of beer. Oostende has a lot to offer and the City is expanding upon that all the time ,, great food ,, greatest beach on the coast,, great walks,, great cycling ,,, free trip across the bay to the Napoleonic Fort and old Bunkers to visit,, absolutely something for everybody,, Will be even greater when the Ferry to the UK is bought back..
Very expensive to park, I paid 88 euro's for 4 days, what a rip. From the Empire Hotel just off of the sea front, cross the Main road and head down the side street, on the right is a Thai restaurant, opposite is a proper old fashioned bar with a beer menu, this is a must visit for they have over types of beer to offer. We love the Tram trip up and down the coast, very inexpensive. You could eat in a different restaurant everyday for a year I think. Hotel Du Parc very friendly and good for a lunch.
Fifth Avenue - excellent fish Travel is very easy. Would not avoid anything a great City we have been going there since We stayed in Ostend and visited Bruges. It was a good location, easy drive from the ferry port at Dunkirk. The town was beautifully decorated as it was close to christmas which added to the festive atmosphere. Lots of bars restaraunts ans shops.
Beautiful vast beaches. We ate at Pascales and had a lovely meal. It was easy to get to Bruges on the train, only 10 minutes. Would definitely visit again. The beach is great, although we were there in terrible rain and wind, so did not get out there.
Leopold Hotel Ostend, Belgium
Lots of restaurants closed this time of year, but summer must be buzzing. Always good to travel there. Have stayed in 3 similar hotels in ostend and this was the best of the 3. Room was comfy , bit weird having toilet in different room to sink but not an issue. Good nights sleep. In January it was cold so walking down to main drag of shops was cold but in better weather would be ok.
Bar was open even though being worked on out of season. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast but was all fresh. Coffee with breakfast was good. We go to ostend twice a year so if not full , will definately book again. This is a fabulous apartment in a superb location. Owner was incredibly helpful too, changing his work schedule to allow us to arrive early. Would definitely stay here again.
The appartement has everything you need for your stay in Ostende. It is very well located, 20 meters from the sea and at the beginning of the main shopping street. You find all the attractions nearby. The furniture is new and of excellent quality. The lighting is perfect. The owner also provide information on the things to do in the zone. It is a cozy place where you can really relax!
Apartment is fully equipped. You need to know that in Ostende you must bring your bedsheets and towels mainly, its specific of city,, but that takes a lot in language. Owner was nice and probided that. Location is top, meters from the sea and 1 km from main train station. Kitchen is well equipped, really. You have all needed. The room is nice and comfortable, the location is very good max. For sure we will stay there the next time we go to Ostende. Lovely cosy hotel with great friendly staff, perfect location in the heart of ostende, my friend had breakfast and said it was lovely too, it's literally 10yrds from a nice square restaurants shops bars etc, what's not to like?
If I could rate this hotel 20 stars I would!!! The staff were friendly, the pizza for dinner was fantastic, the games and facilities were an awesome surprise! The room was clean and huge! Love this hotel so much! Globally, we're keeping our very good opinion about this hotel. Comfortable, equipped enough for our need, modern We'll keep booking Ibis Budget Oostende in the future.
The staff, Bavo was very informative, and helpful. All other staff we came in contact with, were always polite. Would stay here again if visiting Ostend. Location only 5 min from the Trainstation in Oostende. Some noise, would advise on bringing earpods. Refurbished and fresh. Reception staff very cheerful. Buffet breakfast one of the best of similar hotels in Belgium.

Let us park our bikes at reception. Great breakfast, amazing view, very new and super comfortable room, great location, very nice pool, parking in hotel. Like hotel room, staff. Location was wright, center. Very quiet. Great location. Most comfortable for the 2 star hotel. Nice location, comfortable apartment, good equipped. Great breakfast, many choices, high quality, everything was fresh, very clean, kind staff to take care of us.
