I wasn't sure what to expect from visiting this cave system, but I was blown away by it. I'm not a spelunker so don't have much basis for comparison, but this was a wonderful example of the beauty of nature in it's purest form. The tour was well-run by a charismatic, knowledgable, engaging and very funny guide who switched seamlessly between French, Dutch and English, was infectiously enthusiastic and, as it turned out, only a volunteer who took up some of the slack when the regular guides were off on leave.
It also gets quite chilly in the cave, so it's worth taking a fleece as the temperature stays the same all year round.

We were the only 2 people for the tour so we had our very own guide, Pascal, who spoke very good English and was a great guide around the caves.

Another wonderful stay at Le Briquemont. This was our 2nd visit to Le Briquemont and it was wonderful! We stayed for 3 nights and everything was just so perfect Our room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the bath and shower facilities are excellent.

Nadine and Alain are such good hosts, whether sharing a drink with their guests in the evening or chatting together in their beautiful garden, it really does feel as though you are part of their family. Nothing is too much trouble and we really did appreciate their suggestions regarding restaurants, walks and places to visit. It's located in a quiet area, so it was a bit hard to find in the dark, but the owner came out to welcome us after we called the reception and asked for direction. I love their decoration everywhere, the big fireplace keeps you warm after a long trip and the swimming pool is a great place to relax. Everything was great there, I can't recall anything I didn't like.
