Located just over the Belgian border from France in the middle of the Ardennes, this is an excellent site for history lovers, especially for those well read on World War II. On the eve of the Fall of France, Hitler and his staff came and stayed here.
You park the car on the side of the road and walk down a mulch path to the bunker welcome center where a short film is shown available in French with Dutch, English subtitles-German and others available too I think which gives you a good overview of the surrounding area and what happened here. There are also photos from when the Germans occupied the area. Site includes a pathway to a reenactment of a resistance bunker, the original bunker built for Hitler and his staff, and a memorial exhibit to the resistance and Belgian soldiers who fought in WWII. You can also go back up the path to the remaining buildings in the village to see a few of them-including the church, there's also a strip of grass where the runway was and some heavy undergrowth where a pillbox bunker was.

Trying hard with not much. There is an introductory video, and tales of the forced evacuation, but little else. The Resistance element is a locked wooden shelter. She left us at the end of the walking part of the visit. We then passed through a fairly narrow passage taller people should be aware that there are numerous low lying hazards for exposed heads!
This led to a couple of boats that took the visitors through a magically illuminated underground river.

Half way through, after passing through a long low access path between two parts of the cave, you get into boats for the second part of the tour. This is when you get a second dramatic music an light show. Boat tour only available when there is enough water in the river that flows through the cave, so may be an issue in the summer. Both children 8 and 13 thoroughly the tour. Afterwards we went for the walk above the cave that is all about the local trees.

The boat trip inside the cave is a real adventure, and when the boat stops the light show and water fall is superb. The staff were so friendly and clearly very passionate about this wonderful place.
