Unfortunately the room has had its best time. It really needs some fresh paint, new furniture there are rips in the sofa and one of the two chairs on the terrace were broken. The lighting does not work properly, the price is high so you should get more in return than just the view.

The staff is helpful. The breakfast is nice, everything you are looking for, from bread to croissants, and even pancakes and a choice of cheese. The orange juice is poor quality. We will come back but hope to see some improvement on the rooms soon. Date of stay: September Helpful Share. Once was enough. This was not a good experience at all.

The first room they offered us had peeling paint, scratched wallpaper smelled very musty and there was no view. They gave us an upgrade to a studio that had two of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever 'tried' to sleep in. Breakfast was good but the staff weren't. It was more like an army canteen than a holiday hotel.

Very disappointing. Date of stay: July Not again, thanks. Old hotel near to the sea. The receptionists are very agressive, they ask cash money and don't always give a ticket for what you paid. The rooms are old style but everything is working well. The restaurant of the hotel does not take into account the different tasts of children they served a spicy soup to them. The drinks at the restaurant have to be paid cash too. If you don't have any, you must go outside during your meal to get some because they refuse to put it on the bill.

Tip: check out this Brussels Beer Tasting Tour. It is not widely known or as appreciated by tourists as other aspects of Brussels history but the city is actually known for its comic book history. The city has a museum which is dedicated to comics; The Belgian Comic Strip Centre but aside from that, you will also get a feel of how important comics are to the city when you gaze up at larger than life comic book murals on the side of building walls.

Hunting these murals down is an exciting way to get around the city too. Something of an institution in the city of Brussels, the Cafe Belga is hugely popular with locals, expats and tourists alike. Located at the heart of Place Flagey which is itself somewhat of a cultural mixing pot , the Cafe has great views, a buzzing atmosphere and great, affordable Belgian cafe food. The cafe gets busy in the summer but this is part of its charm. Whilst you are in the area, Frit Flagey is well worth visiting and serves some of the best fries in the city.

The nightlife of Brussels is varied and entertaining and has something to suit all tastes and budgets. One of the most worthwhile nights out is Madame Mustache, a club with waiters clad in sailors attire that plays a variety of different music. Entry is free on weeknights but not weekends it is also busier at the weekend. The exhibitions range from the middle ages to the present day and are set over multiple floors. If you had chance to visit the Manneken Pis, then you may be interested to see his costumes which are on display here. The Atomium, located in Heysel Park in the West of the city, is a jaw dropping model of an atom which just happens to be a whopping metres tall. The sculpture was made in to welcome a new and atomic age to Belgium and is an accurate depiction of an iron molecule except that it is about billion times larger!

The sitting place in the shower is a very nice concept for older types, who love to rest while they take a bath. The location is great, the rooms are very bright and comfy. Great breakfast and nice service. I will come back.
