Busy and welcoming family site. We took our own tent and were allocated a pitch on a small cul de sac with other tents, touring caravans and trailer tents. The pitch had shade during the morning and afternoon, electric hook-up, was close to water and sanitary facilities, and was level, plenty roomy for large tent, car etc. Despite visiting in peak season the washroom had plenty of cubicles and was generally clean and well maintained.
The pool was very busy all the time, as we visited during the heatwave week in late July, but seemed to be well maintained.

We went out during the days, but perhaps more campers predominantly families stayed on site as there was a kids club seemed popular the week we were there. The majority of campers were Dutch or Belgian; campsite staff spoke excellent English.
Fresh bread is delivered daily order the night before but the campsite's own shop has a very limited range - however there are 2 supermarkets in Bertrix. We were given a sloping site near the bottom of the area which took an hour to try to get into it and try to level the motorhome.
If we had not been so tired we would have left. The sight was mainly for people from the Netherlands and no signs in English. The pool was too full, restaurant full all the time and toilet and shower blocks dirty! Would not visit again as it was expensive and we could not use the amenities. Hotel Vauban. Very close to the shops and transportation. The room was pretty spacious and clean. The breakfast was average since there was nothing hot such as bacon, sausage, beans The central location is excellent for walking to explore all of the city. Staff were extremely helpful and kind.
